The Dutch swear with serious diseases. Nothing to be proud of, but it has made diseases like typhoid, cholera, phtisis, and tubercolosis known to all Dutch people. And known diseases, get funding. Rare and unknown diseases… don’t. Fuck that. So we launched some new swear words on February 29th 2020, the International Day of Rare Diseases. Giving diseases like Cystic Fibrosis, SCID, Sanfilippo and others the attention they deserve.
